Louise Somerville – Pre-school Manager
I joined the Pre-school in April 2017 as a Pre-School Assistant, having previously been bank staff in 2012. I became Deputy Manager in September 2017 and then Manager in September 2018. I live in Compton with my partner and 3 children, two of whom have attended Pre-school and are now at the local primary school.
I have worked in Childcare for 12 years, qualifying in 2007. I have worked at several local nurseries, most recently being a room supervisor of a 24 place baby room. I managed a small team of 8 staff and oversaw the day to day running of the baby room within the nursery. I am looking to start my level 4 qualification in management very soon. I enjoy working with children, developing their individual needs and seeing them grow and flourish. I find working with children very rewarding, knowing that I am helping them gain skills for life.
In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with my family. I enjoy baking with my children, going out on family walks, going to the park and taking the children to feed the ducks.

Vikki Williams – Pre-School Deputy Manager
I joined Compton Pre-School as a member of staff in September 2017 and became Deputy Manager in September 2018. I left secondary school and went to college where I gained my NVQ Level 2 in Childcare. At this time I also worked in a local nursery. I worked at the same nursery for 7 years before it unfortunately closed. I took this opportunity to take some time out to complete my family.
I have lived in Compton all my life and even attended Compton Pre-School as a child! I am now married to my husband, Carl, and we have 3 boys together, Jamie 10, Charlie 7 and Archie 4. All 3 boys attended Compton Pre-School and thoroughly enjoyed their time there before going on to attend the local primary school.

I joined Pre-school in June 2017 and have recently completed my NVQ Level 3 in Childcare. A year ago I moved here to Compton with my partner and our little boy. Before moving to Compton I worked at a private nursery in Newbury.
I really enjoy working with children and my colleagues, and I am fully committed in helping to provide a safe, caring and fun environment for each individual child here at Pre-school. I am excited to qualify and achieve further more.

Debbie Nowotynski – Pre-School Assistant and Toddler Group Leader
I joined Pre-School in January 2018. Previously I worked at Hampstead Norreys After School Club from 2004 to December 2017. I live in Yattendon and my 3 children, Alasdaire 30, Kira 24 and Phoebe 22, all went to Hampstead Norreys School. I did leave for a little while to become a Birth and Post-Natal Doula. This was a fantastic experience and I had the pleasure of witnessing 10 births and helped a handful of families post-natal. Unfortunately this did not fit in very well with my family life as my children were still young, so I went back to the After School Club.
I went on to do Cache Level 2 in Playwork, and then my NVQ Level 3 in Childcare. I also look after my grandchildren aged 6 and 3, which I love doing. In my spare time I enjoy meditation. I am also a Reiki Master, Angelic Reiki Practitioner and Angel Light Practitioner.

Rose Bradford – Pre-School Assistant
After graduating I worked as an English Teacher and in a variety of office roles before I was introduced to the Pre-School. My son started at Compton Pre-School in 1994, followed shortly by my daughter. I became a parent helper, committee member and eventually, in 1999, a member of staff.
In 2005 I moved on to a Primary School in Reading, where I taught in the nursery, returning to Pre-School as bank staff in 2013. I am enjoying being part of the Pre-School team again.
I am particularly interested in supporting early language development and worked as the ELLP (Early Language Lead Professional) at school. I believe the Early Years are fundamentally important, and it is a genuine privilege to be able to contribute to a child’s growth and development at that stage.
